In 2010 JMU started construction on a new sports complex which now offers multiple athletic fields for various student sports activities. The challenge was turning a rocky and hilly 85-acre farm field into multiple athletic fields and building a massive underground storm detention system to control storm-water. We encountered large quantities of rock which we were able to crush and process into various stone sizes needed to supply the project. The Partners trucking division made 214 individual 5 hour round trips hauling the 13’6” wide structures safely to the jobsite. One of the final challenges which we were able to complete was paving the track to meet NCAA specs. The project was completed safely and on schedule.
